皮亚诺风格建筑

我们的办公区建筑

This office building was completed in 1985 and is considered a state-of-the-art contemporary industrial building. Its architect, Renzo Piano, better known perhaps for such famous buildings as the Center Beaubourg in Paris, worked closely with Lowara management to create these new offices. The result of these efforts is 4000 square meters of office space (200 covered) based on the “open plan” design, that is, no partitions, no blicked out offices but rather a wide open space where office and management personnel all work together. The facade, 150 meters long, with its wide windows, opens towards the outside on the one side and on the other, to the plant.

The roof desing calls to mind a sail which, ideally, catches the wind and drives the ship forward. The analogy is clear our firm is pushing ahead to meet new ideas, important decisions with determination and verve. The contoured metal roof supporting sections and column connecting framework create an impression of lightness and static thrust pared down to its essentials. The modular design where the support elements repeat the overall theme, is the immediate expression of this new architectural concept and at the same time its chief strength.

The parabolic corrugated steel roofing sections break up and soften the artificial lighting and the acustic level in the number of utility distribution systems and terminal connections are laid out under the floating floor. All the systems have been designed to fit into the general operational concept of the building – aesthetics and functionality. Thus the heating and air conditionising system uses thermal sensors in the soffit to determine the adequacy of the natural ventilation system. If the sensors detect overheating, they activate a sprinkler system on the outside of the roof which lowers the temperature of the building.

This building is an important example of how modern technology can be combined with creative and imaginative desing. Here industrial architecture is not locked into fixed perhaps also outdated patterns but rather works hand in hand with science and technology to produce a building with all the advantages of function and desing but also with that special touch of beauty.
